Woman Killed in East Village Hit-Run
A 24-year-old woman was killed early Sunday when a car hit her — and kept going. Julia Thomson of 355 Bowery was crossing East Fourth Street and the Bowery around 4:05 a.m. when a dark Mercedes speeding south struck her.Thomson was pronounced dead at St. Vincent’s Hospital shortly before 4:30 a.m.
Later Sunday, police arrested Tenzing Bhutai, 21, of Forest Hills and charged him with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
