Despite the ignorant blather of his brainless liberal apologists that Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is “not a ‘Holocaust denier'” but merely calls for more research into whether it happened (gee, thanks for raising this subtle distinction), BBC Monitoring notes an Oct. 5 radio address by His Excellency, delivered in Tehran during Friday prayers—part of a series of state-sponsored rallies for “Al-Quds Day”—in which he shows his hand pretty blatantly:
The nation of Iran…condemns any concocting of pretexts, fabrications or setting the grounds for genocide against the nation of Palestine. My dearest ones, we want to help these people. After the Second World War, they created a scenario called ‘pogrom against Jews’. All over Europe and the countries under Western rule, an anti-Jewish movement has been concocted. The climate of propaganda and psychological warfare on the one hand and on the other hand using the issue of ovens burning human beings, they have created, concocted a myth of deprivation and innocence for the Jews of Europe. They use this pretext of the innocence of Jews and the suffering of some Jews during the Second World War. Riding on the crest of a wave of anti-Jewish sentiments, they have laid the foundations for the Zionist regime. Of course, afterwards they used the issue of the killings of the Jews after World War II and they called it holocaust. They have turned it into a holy issue and put it above all sacred values in the world… How is it that a phenomenon, which has come about after the war and named holocaust in 1975, has been turned into such a holy issue that no one is allowed to question it?
Ahmadinejad called for the formation of a “truth-finding commission” and called on Western states to “allow the black box of the World War II be opened.” The BBC headline of the transcript has him calling the Holocaust an “Infallible Fabrication.” While that verbatim does not actually appear in the text (perhaps edited out, or missed by the transcribers), it is clearly the thrust of his remarks. If Ahmadinejad leaves just enough ambiguity for wiggle-room here, he has (as we recently said of idiot-leftist Diana Johnstone re. the Bosnia genocide) stayed out of the outright-denial camp only through the most narrow and slippery use of deniability.
The quote is certainly far more incriminating than Ahmadinejad’s more guarded words at Columbia University last month, which were touted by the idiot-left organ Workers World Sept. 27 to let their hero off the hook:
Ahmadinejad and Iran have been accused of denying the Holocaust happened and of trying to build nuclear weapons… Asked his position on the Holocaust, Ahmadinejad did not deny it happened, but questioned what had happened to the Middle East since then in its name. “It happened in Europe. The Palestinian people had no role to play in it… Why is it that the Palestinians must pay the price, innocent Palestinians?” he asked. “For 5 million refugees to remain displaced or refugees abroad for 60 years—is this not a crime? Is asking about these things a crime by itself?”
The Oct. 5 broadcast also included the helpful suggestion the “vast land of Canada and Alaska can be used to resettle the Jews”—remarks picked up by the Jerusalem Post Oct. 5. Right, lets make the Inuit the new Palestinians. Good thinking there, Mahmoud.
Meanwhile, here in the Land of the Free, Jewish groups are fortunately expressing outrage (CBS, Oct. 12) over professional oil-war hawk and liar Ann Coulter‘s comments Oct. 8 on Donny Deutsch’s CNBC show “The Big Idea” that Jews have to be “perfected” by becoming Christians. Here’s the offending text:
Deutsch asked Coulter: “If you had your way … and your dreams, which are genuine, came true … what would this country look like?”
“It would look like New York City during the [2004] Republican National Convention,” Coulter said. “In fact, that’s what I think heaven is going to look like.”
In her recollection of the convention, she said: “People were happy. They’re Christian. They’re tolerant. They defend America.”
“It would be better if we were all Christian?” Deutsch asked.
“Yes,” she said.
Later, Deutsch returned to the subject, saying: “(Y)ou said we should throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians.”
“Yes,” she replied.
When pressed by Deutsch regarding whether she wanted to be like “the head of Iran” and “wipe Israel off the Earth,” Coulter stated: “No, we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say. … That’s what Christianity is. We believe the Old Testament, but ours is more like Federal Express. You have to obey laws.”
After a commercial break, Deutsch said that “Ann said she wanted to explain her last comment,” and asked her, “So you don’t think that was offensive?”
Coulter responded: “No. I’m sorry. It is not intended to be. I don’t think you should take it that way, but that is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews. We believe the Old Testament. As you know from the Old Testament, God was constantly getting fed up with humans for not being able to live up to all the laws. What Christians believe — this is just a statement of what the New Testament is — is that that’s why Christ came and died for our sins. Christians believe the Old Testament. You don’t believe our testament.”
Coulter later said: “We consider ourselves perfected Christians. For me to say that for you to become a Christian is to become a perfected Christian is not offensive at all.”
Very refreshing to the see the anti-Semitism of the far right out in the open for a change. The worst thing about all this incessant malarky about how the US invaded Iraq not to seize the world’s most strategic oil reserves but because a bunch of wiley Jews have seized control of the foreign policy apparatus is that many Jews actually believe it. Jews are notoriously paranoid, but we think they have plenty of reason to be. As we’ve said before, far more insidious is the phenomenon of Jewish “pronoia”—the illusion that the imperial power structure will protect real Jewish interests when push comes to shove.
Wake up, brothers.
See our last posts on Iran, anti-Semitism and the idiot left.
Bill weinberg a zionist?
Now Bill wouldnt happen to be jewish would he? And he wouldnt be an iranian hater would he? So why is he ignoring the fact that the neocons thru their Office of special Plans and israel both were the main springs for the war on iraq?
Diana Johnstone an ‘idiot leftist’??? She has far more credibility than u do Bill….So waht are u doing on this site, spouting lies and insulting intelligent people?

“Brian” an idiot?
We have a policy against hate speech on this site, and this comes pretty close to violating it. Calling someone an idiot if it’s warranted does not qualify as hate speech in our book, but implying that someone’s ethnicity delegitimizes his politics does. However, it is tempting to let your post stand, just as evidence of how poisonous the atmosphere on the so-called “left” in this country has become.
If you spent a little time on this website, it would quickly become obvious to you that we are not Zionists. We do not hate Iranians (you wouldn’t happen to be a Jew-hater would you?). We vigorously support Iranian feminists, trade unionists and left-dissidents. (We even remember to spell the word “Iranian” with an upper-case I.) What, you think you love Iranians because you wave pom-poms for their oppressors?
We have certainly not ignored the Office of Special Plans. Why is “Brian” ignoring the grab for Iraq’s oil, which Iraq’s civil resistance are putting their lives and freedom on the line to resist?
We have explained at length why Diana Johnstone is a useful idiot for Slobodan Milosevic and Serb fascism.
Oh, and despite all the hoopla from the conspiracy set about how Ahmadinejad’s “wipe-Israel-off-the-map” quip was a fabrication or mistranslation, AlJazeera cited the quote to the official Iranian news agency IRNA. Credible enough sources for you? And if it really is a translation error, perhaps you’d like to explain to us the subtle difference between “wipe off the map” and “erase from the page of time”?
Do you wish to dig yourself any deeper into your hole?
Standards
“Brian” posted two more responses, which we deleted. Our rules are modest, but he violated three of them. So we’ll take this opportunity to outline once again our minimum standards for approving comments. The three standards “Brian” failed to meet are:
1. You can be as vituperative and condescending as you like (we enjoy rough-housing too), but refrain from overt ethnic slurs.
2. Be reasonably concise. If your post is three times as long as the one you are responding to, you are probably going ongepotchket. (Yes, ongepotchket. Look it up.)
3. Be reasonably literate. If you can’t take the time to be grammatical, capitalize proper nouns and spell out simple words like “you,” what you are writing probably isn’t very worthwhile.
Have fun, folks.
Censorship

well, thanks Bill for showing me you area gatekeeper… defending the masses against dangerous dissenting opinion,
I will be posting your article and the replies around the internet, to warn people that WW4report is a bogus left wing site. Its nice to see you expose yourself so honestly to the whole world…
Your three standards are risible! Esp nos 2 and 3.
as for num 1 ‘ethnic slur’ is a euphemism for any criticism of israel.
What your standards miss are journalistic honesty…Youve just shown WW4report has none.
Comedy
Oh, so now “Bill wouldnt happen to be jewish would he? ” constitutes “criticism of israel” (sic)?
You guys react to charges of anti-Semitism the way Bush reacts to charges of torture—by defining it out of existence.
Expose away, “Brian.” We welcome the publicity.
